In 1930, Gunnar Asplund, together with Sigurd Lewerentz, were contracted by The Swedish Society of Crafts and Design to make a boardroom in the building of Nybrogatan 7. Asplund designed the interiors and Lewerentz designed the windows and doors. The room is called ?Asplundrummet? (Asplund's Room) is prime example of Swedish modernism ? functionalism.0Asplund designed unique textiles, furniture, tables, shelving and lighting for the boardroom in a typical modernist 1930s style. Today the room is maintained in mint condition, mainly untouched.
