The MCB Design Award has been held since 1986 by the Museu da Casa Brasileira. The prize reveals talents and consecrates professionals and companies. The Prize is divided into two main moments: the Poster Contest and then the award of the products and written works. Between May and July, the MCB receives creations in the categories: Construction, Transportation, Electronics, Lighting, Furniture, Textiles, Utensils and Written Works. Registrants are analyzed by two independent judging committees, one for product categories and one for written papers. Finally, the winners are chosen, divided between 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and honorable mentions, in addition to the selected ones that also make up the exhibition. As a result of the MCB Design Award, the Museum holds a show with the winners and selected from each category of the edition, which is on display for about two months. "The Concurso de Cartaz (Poster Competition) is held annually with the objective of encouraging graphic design and revitalizing the importance of the poster as a central graphic object in a publicity company. For this edition, 428 entries were received with participants from 18 states. The judging committee was coordinated by Gustavo Pisqueira, who selected, in addition to the winning poster and the second places, another 43 works that are part of the poster competition exhibition.ʺ (HKB Translation) --Page 1.
