Vol. 1 and the first part of vol. 2, edited by the author's son Richard Bigland (who signs dedication) assisted by Rev. James Dalloway, were issued, v. 1 in 22 pts., 1786-1791; v. 2 in 9 pts., 1791-95. About 1802-04 an unsuccessful attempt to continue the publication under the editorship of T. D. Fosbrooke was made by Messrs. Nichols of Westminster. About 1838 Sir Thomas Phillipps, who had purchased the ms., printed some 50 copies of p. 253-316 of v. 2. In 1870 he resumed the publication, and at the time of his death in 1872 had issued 2 pts. Seven parts appeared between 1873 and 1889 under the superintendence of Mr. S. H. Gael and T.
