C.A.R.E. - An Investigative Way of Life will greatly improve your efforts as an investigative interviewer. Eliminate interview resistance and maximize control. Understand your role as an interviewer and learn how to apply the dynamics of reciprocity to get exactly what you need from anyone you interview. Most books on the topic of criminal investigation do little more than inundate you with forms. When it comes to real investigative techniques, those books fail to give readers real insight into how cases actually get solved. Seldom do they explain how the investigator arrived at certain investigative conclusions. With C.A.R.E., you will learn the right way to prepare for an interview and how to master the entire interview process. C.A.R.E. concepts and case studies will lead you to a deeper, richer appreciation for the entire investigative interviewing process. You will learn what an investigative interview is ... and what it is not; how to master the art of detecting deception; when to take a break; common traps and pitfalls to avoid ... and so much more! - Publisher's description. - Publisher's description.
