Der alte Mann und der Bär. On a particularly cold winter day, an old man trudges through the snow: He carries a sick, weak bird on his shoulder. He had bought it from a bird dealer in order to release the bird in spring. The man and the bird are so cold that they ask the bear if he will take them into his warm den. The bear agrees.
