The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity administers the Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Program (MEEP) to reduce the cost of doing business in Illinois by reducing energy costs for manufaturers [sic] with annual energy expenditures of $500,000 or more and thereby protecting manufacturing jobs. MEEP takes a business approach to energy management and examines how energy is integrated with your business management systems through a diagnostic tool called One-2-Five. The results from the diagnosstic tool and survey will be combined into an energy efficiency action plan for the business to implement and achieve improvements, increase staff awareness, experience cost savings and enhance corporate reputation.
