"Derek Wildwood is an artist looking for love and he finds it in the Great Pacific Northwest. He discovers that there are commitments he cannot ignore. When the love of his life is kidnapped, falling victim to a trap intended to take his life, he reaches for a meaning beyond art. And, he finds it in the heft of his trusty .45 Smith & Wesson. In tracking down the kidnappers, he is torn by his passion for a beautiful television news woman and his love for his fiancee. At the crossroads between love and duty, his determination brings him face to face with his most deadly enemy."--Back cover.

Edition Notes

"Includes the "Wildwood Paintings."--Cover.

"Wildwood was created between 1900-2007 and includes a myriad of proofs and revisions. It started out as an art novel and at a certain point it turned into an adventure novel. I wrote on it in Port Townsend until 1999 ... and published a number of proofs under the Danton Thorne no de plume. ... This limited edition of 100 is specifically published for my art show at the Sea of Change Gallery in Seaside, Oregon in March of 2007. The paintings in the back section were hung at the show and painted during the period when I was writing Wildwood."--Author's note.
