  • 1 Want to read

This book is about the 31st December, 1981 coup which brought Ft. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings to power and ushered in the administration of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC). Zaya served as PNDC Secretary (Minister) for Youth and Sports, and was one of the founding members of the June 4 Movement in Ghana. Later became one of the most radical elements in the Rawlings regime. Disagreed over several policy options and resigned from the Government. This book is about his experiences in the PNDC adminstration, the debates about development policy, and thedescent of the Rawlings government into a one man perssonalised dicatorship. This book is the only one writttren by an insider. Worth reading.
