A variant exists where the 16 illustrations and maps are printed on conjugate leaves, without signatures. The 12 maps which cover 2 pages each are on hinged leaves and are numbered 1-9, 01 [i.e., 10], 11, 21 [i.e., 12]
World map, dated Tiguri, 1546, bears monogram of Heinrich Vogtherr the Elder and includes America [=South America], while North America is designated as "Parias" (p.[68])
