Work Description

To all appearances the Gallaghers were the beautiful couple of the year. Glamorous young Nickie and the dashing Senator, Peter Gallagher, a Presidential hopeful, made society pages everywhere.

Peter's family was wealthy and powerful, and the Gallagher image was all important. When Peter began to stray, Nickie became aware of it and an arrangement was made. The price was one million dollars. Nickie would not create a scandal.

And so the Gallaghers continued to be beautiful...in public.

Nickie thought she had learned about power. But she found she was only a beginner when she met the internationally famous shipping tycoon, Stavros Saraops...
