First collected edition of all the poems by Robert Duncan in the series The structure of rime.
Introd. is a biographical sketch of the poet; excerpts from Duncan's Notes on The structure of rime follow the poems.
"Limited to 275 numbered copies for sale and 26 lettered copies for complimentary distribution"--Colophon.
Each copy accompanied by a print from various editions of forty etchings with aquatint by Frank Lobdell and printed by David Kelso from 1987 to 2000.
"Designed and produced at the Arion Press ... under the direction of Andrew Hoyem, with the assistance of Gerald Reddan ... [et al.]"--Colophon.
Set in Perpetua and printed on Zerkall Book Laid paper.
Bound in brick-colored silk cloth over boards, with inset prints front and back, etchings with aquatint; title label mounted on spine. With matching slip case.
Library has no. 136, accompanied by an untitled print of Lobdell's dated 6-14-93, numbered AP 1/2, and signed by the artist.
