Amateur sleuth Faith Fairchild, runs a catering business in Aleford, Massachusetts when she's not busy solving mysteries. When Margaret Batcheldor is murdered, Faith goes to work. Along with a slew of other town characters, Margaret was active in the POW (Preserve Our Wetlands) campaign to prevent developer Joe Madsen from filling-in the bog in order to build high-priced houses. When Faith's husband barely survives being poisoned at a Patriot's Day celebration, the action is a little closer to home. Will Faith be able to catch the killer and still keep her catering business running smoothly?

Work Description

"Faith Fairchild's husband, the Reverend Thomas Fairchild, learns that nursery school teacher Lora Deane has received threatening phone calls. And she's not the only resident of Aleford, Massachusetts, who is being terrorised. Some local environmentalists, protesting about the proposed housing development that will destroy Beecher's Bog, have become targets of a vicious campaign of intimidation - reason enough for Faith to launch into some clandestine sleuthing. But when a body turns up in the charred ruins of a suspicious house fire, Faith is suddenly investigating a murder - and in serious danger of getting bogged down in a very lethal mess indeed!"--Publisher description.
