This short book is an entertaining, unbiased, staged debate on the likelihood of detecting civilizations elsewhere in our galaxy. It can serve as an adjunct textbook for introducing students to the natural sciences.

The book is written in plain English so there is no need to already have a background in the natural sciences and math.
