A short narrative of the horrid massacre in Boston was drawn up by a committee consisting of James Bowdoin, Joseph Warren, and Samuel Pemberton near the month of April 1770, who were appointed by the town meeting in Boston on March 12, 1770. A number of issues and permutations of this title exist. For a complete detailed analysis see Adams, T.R. Brit. pamphlets 70-5 and Adams, T.R. Amer. pamphlets, 75.
