'Poison and Honey' is a busy novella that focuses on a house, sometimes known as the House of the Twelve Angels and its family, the Osorins. The narrator, Semyon Semyonovich, becomes part of the extended family when his Grandfather brings him to the Osorin house as a small child. Through this narrator, Buida creates a packed story full of the realistic, mythical and metaphysical that is strangely enjoyable and full of suspense.
