MASS copy 1: In original white paper wrappers printed in red, green and yellow. Upper wrapper printed with title and series title: "Flowers from the garden of knowledge", both set within wide wood-engraved illustrated and decorative border that includes publisher's imprint. Design is the same as that used on McLean D 0196.5 and McLean D 0596. With yellow endpapers. Lower wrapper printed with publisher's advertisement listing titles in the series "Flowers from the garden of knowledge", the list including "No. 2. Days, Months and Seasons, explained and illustrated". Lower wrapper with imprint: "E. Evans Engraver and Printer. Raquet Ct., Fleet St.".

MASS copy 2: In original white paper wrappers printed in red, green and yellow in the same design as copy 1. Bound with no. 1 in this series entitled: "Prince Arthur's alphabet" (McLean D 0596). A different impression of the title than copy one, with the addition of a signature mark on p. [13] and [21]. With the addition of publisher's advertisements on p. [1-2] at end.
