A pamphlet from 1944 describing how to get the Boy Scouts of America merit badge for Hog and Pork production. The badge was discontinued in 1958 and replaced with the Hog Production merit badge. (from the introduction) It is one of a series of pamphlets known as the Merit Badge Library. The pamphlets cover all kinds of hobbies, activities, and vocations, and are prepared by experts.
