According to the accompanying note by Malcolm Edwards the length for the story entries was limited to a maximum of 3,000 words, though it was allowed to slightly revised and expand them for the publication; a number of over 1,000 stories were supplied.
The jurors were J. G. Ballard, Angela Carter and Malcolm Edwards.
