Devoted to the brigade commanders and colonels of the army and the captains of the Navy who served under the Consulate of 10 November 1799 to 18 May 1804, the study presented here is of the same purpose as the Dictionary of colonels of Napoleon in 1996 and the Dictionary of captains of Napoleon published in 2003: to provide researchers and the public a better understanding of senior officers of this period and to remind them of our duty to remember.
