This is not a conventional travel guide. It is not a travel guide at all. Instead, it is Charles Gordon writing a very funny book about a wonderful trip that he and his faithful spousal companion Nancy took across Canada in the summer of 1996. They did it right: They drove from Ottawa east to St. John's, Newfoundland all the way west to Victoria on the Pacific coast, then back again. It took them three wonderful months.

Of course, jealous friends told them, it was the dream that millions of people around the world would love to take, if they had the time. Charles Gordon had the time, and with this delightful book in hand, you can take the time too.
