Consists of a list of the Committee of Visitors and its report (Basil T. Wood), report of the Commissioners in Lunacy (W. G. Campbell, James Wilkes),the report of the medical superintendent (Samuel Hill), financial and statistical statements (Josiah Stonier, steward, Mary Thompson, store room maid) and a dietary table.

The asylum was previously called the North and East Ridings of Yorkshire Lunatic Asylum. It is referred to as the 'Lunatic Asylum for the North Riding of Yorkshire', 'North Riding Asylum', 'North Riding Lunatic Asylum', 'North Riding of Yorkshire County Lunatic Asylum' and the financial statements also refer to the North and East Ridings of Yorkshire Lunatic Asylum.
