Born two years apart, sisters Kathy and Maisie Bates couldn't be more different. Kathy has a good job and a handsome fiancé, but her parents despair of younger daughter Maisie. Pretty and fun-loving, Maisie has one thing on her mind - men. The arrival of hundreds of troops and handsome GIs means Southampton is the perfect place to meet them, but Maisie has no idea that servicemen are not always gentlemen.
