Ramón Casaus Torres y Las-Plazas wasn't consecrated archbishop until 1813, and held the position of archbishop of Guatemala until 1827.
The newly elected archbishop called for order in light of the proliferation of fights and killings observed between the inhabitants of the archbishopric of Guatemala at the time.
