In this paper the riparian zone will encompass those areas where by the flora and fauna are directly dependent upon or influenced by the salts in the upper horizon. Because of the lack of knowledge concerning the influence of the grazing upon the riparian resource along the Pecos River, most of the information in this report will be inferred from studies done in other parts of the country."--From introduction.
