Engraved title set in engraved border printed from a separate plate, signed by Martin van Buyten; see Mortimer. The border incorporates the author's port. and the arms of Alberto Acquaviva, to whom the work is dedicated. Ten full-page engraved ill. by van Buyten within elaborate borders, one before each of the ten cantos. The ill. include map and views of Taranto. Around the "Argomento" before each canto is a four-piece woodcut border with Pegasus and tritons. Ornamental and historiated head- and tail-pieces, initials. Carlino & Pace's device on special t.-p. of "Oligantea" (clasped hands).
