T.p. within architectural woodcut border, with vignette of ring dial (repeated on A3v). Arms of Charles V, t.p. verso, for whom Taisnier was court musician; see Mortimer. A number of the cuts are signed with a monogram composed of I and S, while the 2nd cut on C2v has the letters SWAB. Some cuts bear the date 1549. Tables. Decorated initials.

Binding: modern gray paper. Author, brief title, and imprint written on spine. The shield at foot of t.p. border and the space above it show signs of inscriptions having been effaced. Inscription at head of last p. partly missing where paper torn and repaired.
