Over a rugged pass that shut off Shadrock, Wyoming from the rest of the world came Brad Hunter driving his Tall T trail herd, explaining to those curious enough to ask that he was pushing his herd to Ellsworth, Kansas by way of Wyoming. The Texans who followed him up the trail waited impatiently for him to take up the feud that had hung over him like a dark cloud.
