Published at the request of the committee of arrangements for the centennial celebration of the settlement of Boston, September 1830.

Also issued as part of: Mr. Otis's address. President Quincy's centennial address. Mr. Sprague's centennial ode, Boston, 1830.

Two states of gathering [1] noted. One has an error on p. 6 ('burned' for 'buried'), and an errata slip recognizing the error. In another state, this error has been corrected, a comma added on p. 7, l. 1, and a period added on title page, following the words 'State House.'

With this is bound: An address to the citizens of Boston, on the 17th of September, 1830 and An ode: pronounced before the inhabitants of Boston, September the 17th, 1830 at the centennial celebration of the settlement of the city.
