This periodical, issued twice annually for the Frankfurt Easter and Michaelmas fairs, is known to have been published since 1590. It is generally cited under title "Relationes semestrales" and was founded by Conrad Lautenbach. The title of single issues changed frequently durings its long run from 1590 to 1750; one typical title is: Relationis historicae semestralis vernalis [or: autumnalis] continuatio. Jacobi Franci Historische Beschreibung der denckwürdigsten Geschichten, ... Since 1751 published under the present title, continuing until the early years of the 19th century (latest date mentioned is 1805)
