In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Joshua Leavitt says he thinks Phelpśs decision regarding ́the papeŕ was wise. He describes (financial) difficulties of running a paper. He then talks about an agent who were working for his society but now headed to Boston. He requests Phelps help him with his advice. He also Requests recommendations for a good agent if possible. He continues with his advice on how to make the Evangelist a successful paper for New England.
