Writing to Samuel J. May (Recipient), Samuel May Jr. (Writer) reports on a meeting of the American Unitarian Association that took place in Boston. The main business of the meeting was to elect the General Secretary after W. G. Eliot declined to accept the office. Writer did not attend the session in question, but somebody reported to him that no decision had been made on the matter although Recipient had received the most votes for the position in ballots that had been taken.
