The main source on which this book is based is a collection ofover 400 life stories of people with multiple sclerosis and membersof their families from Australia, Canada, and the USA as well asthe United Kingdom. The life stories have provided invaluableinsights into how people manage life with multiple sclerosis, andrichly supplement other evidence about the meaning, impact, andexperience of living with the disease. In the book all names ofindividuals have been changed to preserve confidentiality, as hasother information which might identify those concerned.
