These notes seem to have been taken at a series of meetings of the Leicester Anti-Slavery Association during the summer and fall of 1846. Most of the discussions focused on support of the Constitution and voting for pro-slavery candidates. There were also arguments about the suppression of the slave trade by England and America and the conduct of the American churches respecting slavery.
