Text composed of Discours préliminaire (p. 1-19) and Table explicative (p. [21]-43).
Page [20] and the final p. are blank.
Engraved head-piece, signed by Lacour.
The plates were first published in 12 parts, with 6 plates each, in 1801. The 1801 ed. did not include the text.
Many of the plates include measurements in métres and in pieds.
CHMRB has three copies.
CHMRB c. 1 (39088006932594) is imperfect: Plate 53 is wanting.
CHMRB c. 2 (39088006932602) is 43 cm. tall.
CHMRB c. 3 (39088009683053), with accession no. 201296, has some page repairs, ink stains, and a few penciled rough sketches of furniture throughout.
CHMRB c. 3 has modern blue cloth binding with gilt-lettered red leather spine label; binder's ticket on back paste-down endpaper describes the book's conservation treatment and binding, signed "Sky Meadow Bindery, December 1984."
