Caroline Weston briefly discusses the struggle with the London Committee. She says that "[Joel Prentiss] Bishop is beginning to repent..." "Henry Grew came in the Britannia...he reports that Mr. Bate's passage is taken for May..." She mentions the failure of the U.S. Bank. She discusses the Liberty Convention having "...about 40 persons present--& Torrey Lying at such a rate that even the 40 were dismayed..." She mentions Amos A. Phelps. Phelps and [Charles Turner] Torrey intend to publish "The Free American." "...The Emancipator was going down--Sam Sewell did not seem comfortable." Warren Weston is going to Russia soon. She warns Maria Chapman to avoid catching yellow fever.
