Sylvia Ann Ammidon sends this letter with Caroline Weston, who will presumably spend Thanksgiving with the family. She remarks that Anne [Warren Weston] appears to enjoy herself very much, but Sylvia has come to the conclusion that there is little enjoyment in this world. She hopes that Deborah's knee is better now. She is spending "about half of the time" with Maria [Weston Chapman]: "I enjoy myself greatly while with her, and feel rather unpleasantly when I am separated." She tells about the "rage" for transferring pictures to wood; about her fondness for playing the piano; and about reading aloud, etc. They go to Mr. [Alexander] Young's church, but "drop into Mr. Greenwood's" in bad weather. She sends jocular Thanksgiving wishes.
