Holograph, signed.
Jane Wigham regrets not seeing Henry C. Wright once more before his departure for America. Wigham believes "his visit to this country has been of great service." They are looking anxiously for a memoir of Wright in Howitt's Journal, as "his unselfish retiring disposition prevents his beautiful character being found out." Advise is needed about the kind of articles that would be welcome for the 14th bazaar. Interest would be kept up here if letters addressed to the secretary or committee (of the local anti-slavery society) could be received regularly from America. A pro-slavery minister from Virginia has been lecturing here and "proves himself very bad." Placards have been posted "warning the public to beware of him."
