Edition Notes
Holograph, signed.
This letter is written in French.
Floreska Lecomte reports the death of her grandmother and the plans for the funeral. She hopes to be with Maria Weston Chapman the first week in June, and accepts her gracious hospitality. Floreska writes: "I accept because I believe you, and I believe you because I love you." She tells about the engagements of Mme. L'hoste's daughter and of Miss Crossthwait. Mme. Bremi has talked with Floreska about certain projects of Maria W. Chapman. She mentions a pamphlet, "le celibat," including an article signed Eve, which is "the most bizarre rhapsody one can image."
Letter is accompanied by an envelope addressed to: Mrs. Chapman, 39 Devonshire Street, Portland Place, London.
