Gives an account of the formation of the militia upon the receipt of the resolves of Congress. Has himself been chosen to go on patriotic service. Adds in a postscript that Fort Pitt is now evacuated and is worthy the attention of Congress.
Dated: Carlisle, 26th June 1775.
Author was a colonel in the 6th Pennsylvania Continental Regiment.
James Wilson was a member of the Continental Congress.
