Mary Anne Estlin says that Parker Pillsbury is improving steadily in health. Mary A. Estlin will have "to ransack my hoards for flying-mercuries, battledores, shuttlecocks, cups & balls, & c. to keep him in exercise, ..." She describes her father [John Bishop Estlin]'s physical condition. She gives instructions about obtaining various pamphlets. She refers to the marriage of Mlle LeComte [Floreska LeComte?]. She will provide Mrs. Russell Taylor, widow of the editor of the Manchester Guardian, with a letter of introduction to Maria Weston Chapman. Mrs. Taylor is the daughter of Mrs. Gideon Acland. Praises S. A. Steinthal. "Mr. Ch[amerovzo]w is I imagine drifting New Organizationward, Mr. Chesson is silent." Mr. George Thompson's daughter is likely to recover.
