Anne Warren Weston's account of her experiences during the Anthony Burns case will have a great effect on public opinion. Mary Anne Estlin praises Mrs. Wendell Phillips's heroism. She thinks the Burns case may allow "timid time serving clergymen to give forth their 'pent-up Anti Slavery' utterances ..." Mary Anne Estlin says that her father, John Bishop Estlin, "continues much the same."
