Edition Notes

Holograph, signed with initials.

Maria Weston Chapman says that Sydney H. Gay thought that the National Anti-Slavery Standard should be "transferred" [combined with the Liberator?]. Chapman recommends concentrating "our whole force this way for 6 mos." She mentions the popularity of the Standard during the editorship of Mrs. Lydia M. Child. She says that an aunt plans to have her portrait painted by an artist named Cheney.
