Edition Notes
Holograph, signed with initials.
Maria Weston Chapman tells who will take charge of the tables at the anti-slavery fair, including Mrs. Loring and Mrs. Sargent, etc. She comments on the news. She claims that W.H. Seward advised the making of meaningless speeches until something develops. She says that the cold weather might be fatal to Mary Weston. She mentions Mrs. Tudor.
This letter was written on the blank pages of a printed invitation: "The Anti-Slavery Families Request the pleasure of Mrs. Weston's Company at the Music Hall on Wednesday Evening, Jan'y 23rd,--the 27th Subscription Anniversary."
