As Iron Sharpens Iron

The Fairhope Writers Group was formed on September 15, 2007, with the goal to inspire each member in the pursuit of the writer’s craft. Humorous, dramatic, science fiction, non-fiction, or observation, this is what we write. Each week, we gather together and the question we ask each other is always the same. “What have you written since last week? Read it please.”

The desire to write and write better is sharpened by our desire to create something fresh, something memorable, and something that reveals the spark that lights the human spirit. Above all, we search for a story that may touch the soul. We hope we succeed in this endeavor.

The only limitation that we place on our anthologies is that we write about the City of Fairhope, some event that involves this Mobile Bay community, or about a person from Fairhope, Alabama.
