First published at Landshut, 1524. First published with Gemma's additions and corrections at Antwerp, 1539. See Ortroy.
The present ed. is identical to another issued the same year (Ortroy 47), except that on the t.p. Verwithagen's name stands in place of the heirs of Arnold Birckmann as publisher.
Colophon: ANTVERPIAE / Ex officina typograph. AE. Diest. / An. 1564. 4. Mart.
The eclipses of the moon are given for the years 1538-1578 (leaves 11v-12v).
T.p. ill. depicts a terrestrial globe with the publication date M.D.LXIIII. It it repeated on leaf 20v without the date.
The diagrams with volvelles appear on leaves 8v, 11r, 28r, 49r.
Signatures: A-Hp4s K-Sp4s (the folded world map is signed I).
In Getty copy the world map was apparently cut away from a stub in the correct position following H4, and is now hinged in between H2 and H3.
References to America on leaves 30 and 48.
Leaves 51-57: Libellus de locorum describendorum ratione. The dedication is dated: prid. kal. Febr. An. 1533.
Leaves 58-64: Usus annuli astronomici. The dedication is dated Calend. Feb. 1534.
