Piki, an Indian girl of the mesas, is away at the white man's school. When she is summoned home by a telegram, she finds things different. Everyone looks at her with averted face. Then she finds that her father is accused of stealing the blue stones the mesa people have kept on store for years of famine. Piki manages to find the stones and clear her father, exposing the real troublemaker on the mesa.
