CONFESSIONS OF AN ACCIDENTAL MOUSEKETEER is a memoir of Lonnie Burr's life as an actor, dancer/choreographe, author (plays, poetry, books, newspapers/mags/ezines, critic, essayist, radio-TV-film scirpts, humor etcetera), director and occasional educator. He began working professionally as an actor/dancer/singer at 5 in 1948 and became Mouseketeer Lonnie - 1 of 4 boys of 39 kids who were on the original "Mickey Mouse Club" (1955-59) for the entire filming of the seminal children's TV series. After graduate degrees he continued his professional career adding writing, choreography and direction. The book runs through January, 2009 and is hilariously funny, serious about substantive matters, honest about himself and others and ranges from Hank Fonda to Ginger Rogers to Woody Allen to Julia Roberts to Bob Hope and Jimmy Durante and Jean Claude van Damme. Compelling reading and NOT a showbiz hype, nor "co-written" just the boy and man and his wife of almost 40 years. A winner.
