Edition Notes

Imperfect: microprint lacks t.p.

Adapted from an Italian play be Luigi Pasqualigo entitled Il fedele.

Identification of the author as A. Munday, based on the initials "A.M." signed to one of the two extant copies of the dedication leaf has been questioned. For the arguments supporting Munday's authorship, see M. St. C. Byrne, "Anthony Munday and his works," in The library, ser. 4, v. 1, 1920/21, p. 236-239.
