The smell of sponge cake makes a hungry little dog's mouth watering. Everyone is eating but him. No one thinks to share. As the day grows long the dog grows sad. Finally a friendly boy coming home from school happens to notice him. The boy shares a sponge cake with the dog which makes it a beautiful day for the little dog.
