Documentation for the building at 299 Dolores Street, San Francisco, Calif., thought to have been personally designed by the architect Willis J. Polk (Willis Polk & Co.), erected with funds donated by Virginia Vanderbilt to replace a facility destroyed in the 1906 fire.

Copy 1 of 2, submitted for archival purposes to the San Francisco History Center, San Francisco Public Library.

Accompanying CD-ROM (255 MB) contains historic photographic images in 15 TIF files.
